Just checking your service records on HMS Jamaica of interest to myself. As my father Cyril Cox also served on the same ship from August 1945. After previous service on Drake and Clematis. Regards Chris Cox.

Great to see John's pictures. My dad, Leslie Gilbert served on HMS Jamaica from 1943 and often talked of the ice on the ship during convoys. He was a Stoker on board. He remained a member of the crew during it's peacetime tour of the world and spoke fondly of Durban having attended the governors party with a chum, Jan, whose surname he never mentioned.

A few years ago a work colleague in Birmingham, John Walker told me he's served on Jamaica for a few years till she was decommissioned. It's a small world.
